What activities can we expect during our visit to Gorsefield?

Our centre offers a wide variety of outdoor and indoor activities including campfire skills, orienteering, country walks, archery, mountain biking, and more.

Are the residential programmes fixed or can they be tailored?

Our programmes are carefully designed to complement your school's curriculum and ethos, but we're open to tailoring them based on your specific requirements.

How are the sleeping arrangements planned?

We can accommodate up to 46 children and 6 staff members. Children sleep in bunkbeds across different rooms. If you're bringing mixed groups, planning is crucial to ensure suitable arrangements. Please refer to our detailed room list.

Is transport provided for our school visit?

For Tower Hamlets schools, transport is included in the pricing. For non-Tower Hamlets schools, transport isn't included, though we can assist with arrangements. We partner with Empress Coaches for transportation needs.

Do we need to bring our own meals and bedding?

No, you don't have to. We provide all meals during your stay, and bedding is also included.

Is the food Halal?

Yes, all the food we serve at Gorsefield is Halal

How do we plan for students of different genders in the sleeping arrangements?

We provide detailed room occupancy lists to help you coordinate appropriately. Rooms 4 & 5 have an adjoining fire door and must be same-gender occupancy.

Is Gorsefield accessible for private bookings or other non-school groups?

Yes, Gorsefield is available for private rentals, youth groups, and other organizations. Kindly contact us for further details.

Has Gorsefield got a TV License?

No, Gorsefield does not have a TV Licence, we encourage everyone who visits to switch off their screens and have a digital detox! This means that whilst on site, you cannot watch live or record TV on any channel on any TV service (like Sky, Virgin Media and Freeview), you cannot watch live on streaming services (like ITVX, All 4, YouTube and Amazon Prime Video) or use BBC iPlayer.

You don't need a TV Licence if you only ever download or watch on demand or catch up programmes on services other than BBC iPlayer.
